Melt Cosmetics Lipsticks

For months I have been lusting over Melt Cosmetics lipsticks! Since May, my Instagram timeline has been flooded with these beautiful pictures of their gorgeous colors and of course everything was sold out. So the minute I heard about their restock and new colors launch in October I knew I was buying everything.

Melt Cosmetics lipsticks come in a variety of vibrant colors, cruelty free and have an ultra-matte texture. Now I know when we hear ultra-matte, a lot of us immediately think of MAC Cosmetics Matte finishes but Melt's version is nothing like it. It goes on very creamy and is not drying at all. However, it does leave a stain on your lips that takes forever to come off so make sure you moisturize your lips with a chapstick or prep + prime before hand.

I've been swamped trying to catch up on work and organizing my glam room which has been an epic fail. The only upside to going through my stash is actually seeing everything that I have again which actually led me to this post. Recently, I've been shopping a lot and building my make up collection. Ok I don't know what's going on with the weather in NY. Today's it's a high of 78 degrees and it's killing me because I've already made the switch of seasons in my closets and my shopping pattern. I'm ready for boot season!

Time flies....

The last week of September was super busy! I finally finished celebrating my birthday (September babies wooo) and now I need to catch up on everything thing else that I've been neglecting. So stay tuned for tons of updates on my latest hauls on make up, jewelry and of course fashion!

Yesterday, I walked into my glam room and decided I wanted to style an outfit that was dedicated to my favorite colors for fall: burgundy, emerald and cobalt blue. I love these colors because they are so rich and can easily be paired with some of your favorite neutrals that you already have in your closet.

I kept this look very classic and light on the accessories because I wanted the colors to do all of the work so let's take a look!

From One Fashion Lover to Another...

Fall is happening and if your closet is anything like mines, it's in need of a major makeover. So let's cut to the chase shall we?

One of the biggest trends I saw during Fashion week was the bold hues that designers used to highlight the overall theme and look of their collection. One of my favorite colors that I'm now adding a lot of to my closet is Cobalt blue.

Cobalt blue is one of those bold, rich colors that complements every complexion and works to create a bold but yet classic and relaxed fall look. I think it's the perfect pop of color to wear so try adding a silky blouse, a pair of high heels or even a new handbag in your favorite shade of blue.

Here, I quickly paired a pair of leather pants and a jacket with a bright blue top and blue high heels. It's a quick and easy look to put together if it's for a night out with the girls or even a date night. Just remember if you're going to go for a bold look, try wearing a natural lipstick color and define your lips with a darker lipliner. Hey, if you're wearing it for date night throw on some lipgloss on and a smoky shadow and you're set for the night!

The End of an Era...

The end of summer is always bitter sweet for me. I'm going to miss rocking my summer maxi dresses and cute sparkly sandals but I'm ready to rock some boots! This past weekend in NY it wasn't too hot but it definitely wasn't fall weather, so I decided to rock a cute and casual look that will easily transition me into fall.

For the last picture I actually changed my lip color. I lined my lips with MAC Nightmoth lipliner, then used MAC sweet succulence.

Tarte BB Tinted Treatment

New to my beauty regime is the Tarte BB Tinted Treatment 12-Hour Primer Broad Spectrum SPF 30 Sunscreen.

I received a set of samples in one of my older Tarte orders and I've heard so much about them since they took the US beauty scene by storm over the past year I've been dying to try it out.

In case you don't know, a BB cream stands for Beauty Balm. It's a new hybrid beauty product that hydrates and evens out skin tones. Most BB creams cover like a tinted moisturizer and I know some people like to use it as a replacement for a foundation because it's packed with nutrients for the skin and provides light coverage. Now let's focus on the Tarte BB Tinted Treatment 12-Hour Primer Broad Spectrum SPF 30 Sunscreen.

Tarte's BB cream comes in 4 shades: fair, light, medium, and tan which is great for people who have a hard time finding the perfect coverage. I've actually spent hundreds of dollars on tons of foundations and it was funny that I found one I liked so much in a tiny free sample.

It is very creamy and mousse like with a semi-matte finish. You can wear it alone or use it as a skin primer for foundation. One of the best things I found about it is that it's great for build-able coverage so if you're running out of the house quickly and don't have the time to put on your full face, you can quickly put this on and be on your way. If you are going to build coverage with this BB cream, I suggest building it in thin layers so it doesn't go on looking cakey. For a very light coverage, I suggest putting it on with your finger. If you want to build coverage then I would use a thin brush to achieve medium coverage.

I've been wearing it for about a month now and it's safe to say that it's here to stay!

Fall is Here!

When I took these pictures it was the perfect fall day in New York! It was in the mid 70's, the sun was shining and the breeze was amazing. Now it's a 89 degrees and I'm hiding out in my air conditioner. Even though it seems like summer is holding on for dear life, we all know that Fall is fast approaching so that means it's time to switch those wardrobes and start piling on the layers!

I'm always on the lookout for great shopping deals, so I had to jump at the opportunity when Rue La La sent me a $30 shopping spree credit to check out their refreshed Rue living page. MAC Guilty Passions – Lavish Rose Lip Gloss Set

So I know this collection came out last year but I just picked it up and I fell in love with the colors so I had to show you guys!

Gorgeous colors right?! I love the pigmentation and gloss of all 4 but my favorites are definitely Colours saturation and Boys go crazy. I have a love obsession with red, wine and purple on my lips!

80's Baby!

Penny Loves Kenny Majori Bootie

Rampage Kosmo Bootie

If you're looking for a unique bootie in a great color then the Rampage Kosmo Bootie is definitely something you want to check out. At first I had my doubts that it made me look and feel a little like Peter Pan because of the color and the pointy toe...but I slept on it for a few days and saw some pictures of other girls in them and they're totally worth the splurge if you're looking for a new green boot!

Seychelles Can't Stand the Heat Bootie

Here's another transition into fall bootie. The Seychelles Can't Stand the Heat Bootie.

Honestly, I didn't think I would love these as much as I do but they're the perfect pair of black booties with a twist. They have a mix of a vintage military style and a thick chunky heel which make them great for all day wear.
