Selfie was the "it" word of the year for 2013. We're all guilty of it...taking self indulging photos of ourselves and posting them all over social media. Well now I'm here to introduce you to Shoefie!!!!

A Shoefie is a shameless picture of your feet in shoes (preferably chic ones). When I heard of a shoefie, I immediately fell in love and knew this would be my new "it" word. Who needs to make the word Fetch happen when you can focus on taking a shoefie? ;)

Introducing The Sharon and Kelly Osbourne Collection with MAC Cosmetics

In case you haven't heard by now, MAC Cosmetics just announced their new collaboration with Mother and Daughter duo Sharon and Kelly Osbourne. The collection will be available in June 2014 so start saving those pennies ladies. So far all we know is that it will be coming out in special packaging and I'm sure it will be limited edition.

This collection stands to be very exciting for the consumers as Sharon and Kelly both have such great style and attitude. From Kelly's line, I expect fun and vibrant colors like bright pink and lavender, while I can picture a more muted neutral base line from Sharon. Either way, we are in for an interesting new collection.

Foot Petals BEST Shoe Closet Contest

Surely that number is a lot higher for most of us and even though I have an immense love for my footwear, occasionally I do run across a pair that are not as comfortable or as wearable as I need them to be. I remember a few years ago, I found a gorgeous pair of Betsey Johnson wedges at DSW. Unfortunately for me, my foot kept sliding forward in them and if I went up a full size, they would be way too big for me. There was no way that I was leaving them in the store, so I settled on to the fact that I would be walking on eggshells when I wore them out. That is until I found out about Foot Petals.

Foot Petals is a company that offers insole cushions that are made from high performance urethane and poron which absorbs shock, repels moisture, bacteria and odor.

My favorite thing about them is that they add extra stability to high heels (and flats) and provides an extra layer of cushioning to the ball of my foot. Their products range from tip toes which are cushions for the ball of the foot, killer kushionz which are 3/4 insoles, amazing arches which are cushions for the arch, heavenly heels which are cushions for the back of the heel and so much more!

As if I needed another reason to love them, Foot Petals ran a contest on their Facebook page looking for a great shoe closet from one of their fans. In order to enter, fans had to post pictures of their shoe closet and from the pool of entries, 10 finalists would then be chosen to compete in a fan vote off of who had the best shoe closet. The prize was a $500 Amazon.com giftcard. I entered with my shoe room picture and never in a million years did I think I would be a finalists or even the winner!

So you can imagine when they announced me as their winner, I just about fell off of my bed, ran around my house, screamed about five times, and ran around some more.

Seriously, this is real! I received my giftcard in the mail a few weeks later! I still haven't picked out what to spend it on but I have one pair of boots in mind that I may splurge for (keep an eye out because I'll be updating this with more pictures when I do)!

Foot Petals really gives the tools to remind us that shoe love is indeed the truest love of all!

Sarah Jessica Parker’s SJP shoe line

Hark the shoe angels! News about Sarah Jessica Parker's own shoe line SJP has been floating around for months but now we have the final details from the collection.

The collection will launch exclusively at Nordstorms and prices will range anywhere from $185 to $425. When interviewed about the what took so long for the collection to drop, Sarah Jessica Parker said, "Everything needed to align, from quality to price point."

You can expect to see a range of classic shoe styles such as the Mary Jane pumps, T-strap heels, flats, kitten heels, and simply strappy sandals as part of the collection. As part of her signature to the collection, each shoe will come with a design detail that is unique to the brand (a stripe of ribbon up the heel or a small tab on the side of a slip-on shoe).

Duane Reade Boo-tiful Legs Contest

Who knew my legs were hot enough to win me a brand new Apple iPad Mini? Well that was the case in the latest Duane Reade contest.

Around two months ago, I ran across Duane Reade's new marketing contest on facebook called the "Boo-tiful Legs". In order to enter, fans had to upload a photo of themselves in their Halloween costume wearing Duane Reade brand hosiery. There were 10 first prize winners, each either winning an Apple iPad mini or iPhone 5s.

Here's my entry:

This year I was Little Bo' Peep and I paired it with black and white polka dot tights from Duane Reade.

About 3 weeks later, I received an email that I was one of the first prize winners and I received my prize in the mail.

The thing that I love about Duane Reade is that they're always looking for fun and relevant ways to strategically market the brand on social media. Make sure you check out their Facebook page here for new and upcoming contests.

I'm sticking to my New Years resolution and expanding the style in my closet. If you've been reading my articles, then you know how I feel about any shoes that are less than 4 inches. They just do not exist in my closet. And please don't let me get started again on sneakers...

That is until Shoedazzle.com ran an amazing promotion over the holidays to clear out some of their sneaker inventory. I received an email from them that for one day only, all of the sneakers online were only $19.95, so I figured for that price why not take a look. I ended up purchasing the Announce by Beau + Ashe.

I love how versatile these are and can easily be dressed up or down with a pair of leggings or tight skinny jeans. If you're a high heel aficionado like myself then these are a perfect way to ease some sneakers into your wardrobe. Yes, I know it maybe cheating but it's a work in progress!

Forever 21 Launches Premium Leather Shoe Collection

Following in the direction of H&M and Gap, Forever 21 has now launched it's own premium leather shoe collection. 10 new trend-driven styles made from 100% genuine leather hit the site yesterday morning. Prices range from $49 to $79.

Linda Chang, Forever 21's GMM hopes that the new push in quality shoes will complement the styles of its current customers as well as attract the eyes of new shoe lovers throughout the country.

Some of them are a complete miss for me but there are a few shoes that do peek my interest. However, nothing is eye catching enough for me to rush to place an order.

What's Your Shoe Year's Resolution?

This year I'm making a date at the Christian Louboutin shop-in-shop at the Saks Fifth Avenue store in NYC. Ever since Saks launched the 10022-shoe floor, I've been dying to visit, but I've stayed away so my wallet wouldn't disown me, but this year I'm making it my mission to purchase my first pair of Loubies from there.

I know what you're thinking...how can you fashion blog, let alone shoe blog without having at least one pair of the coveted red bottoms? -Cue my constant heartbreak here-

So that's why I'm making it my shoe year's resolution to save up and add a beautiful pair of Louboutin's to my collection. Here's a peek at some of my favorites:

G by GUESS Dea Over The Knee Boot

Guess can do no wrong in my book!

I kept seeing the G by GUESS Dea Over The Knee Boot and I stopped myself from purchasing them three times. Lately, I've been trying to rationalize my shoe purchases and I couldn't find a new reason to get another pair of black boots...but then I found this little black dress and that called for...new over the knee black boots!

Shoe details:

- Faux leather upper - 17 1/4 inch shaft height - 14 inch calf circumference - Inside partial zipper for easy foot/leg slide on - 4 3/4 heel - 1 inch covered platform - Studded buckle strap details with silver hardware - Runs true to size

For reference, I am 5'7 tall (almost 5'8) and these hit me right in the middle of my knee cap. So I wouldn't call them over then knee boots for anyone taller than 5'4 or 5'5.

Air Jordan Sneakers

I'm messing around with some of my Christmas presents and my family got me a few white boxes and lamps for blogging.

Naturally, I'm trying to get everything ready and learn about the lighting and the right back drops for certain accessories and shoes and my brother comes across a new contest for Jordan sneakers. I own ZERO of those, so he grabbed a few of his and insisted that I take a picture of them with my new white box.

-Insert my salty face- Really? My first "official" shoe picture has to be of a sneaker?

So I have to ask? Do Jordan's really live up to the hype? Is investing in a pair something I should look into or should I just stick to the high heels?

I know it's still a bit early in the season (at least on the east coast) to be thinking about wearing sandals but I couldn't help myself when I spotted the Mojo Moxy Limelight Sandal!

The Legend of Zelda: Box Set of Prima Official Game Guides

I wanted a lipgloss that would add some glitz and glamour to my Matte lipsticks. I know it sounds like such a contradiction given the fact that matte lipsticks are supposed to have no shine or shimmer so that they can last for hours throughout the day but I'm always looking for fun and new combinations so work with me here.

Once applied, the Yves Saint Laurent Golden Gloss - Shimmering Lip Gloss - Color 46 White Quartz Gold gives your lips a mirrored effect full of sparkles. Available in an acrylic/plastic tube - it is non-sticky, has no taste and lasts for hours.

It is a little pricey on the lip gloss end of the make-up spectrum ($30 a tube), however, you do get what you pay for.

The gold sparkles provides a slight plumping effect and adds dimension to the lips so if you're looking for a lip gloss to give you that perfect holiday pout make sure you grab this one!
