Zigi Soho Khloe Striped Sandal

One trend that always seems to stand the test of time is the nautical trend. Every year, I see a striped top or maxi dress on the runways or in the streets and this year is no different. Either in red, white or navy hues, I'm sure you have some pieces in your closet already that can help you pull together a ready to set sail look. However, if you don't (or just in the mood to splurge) then take a look at the Zigi Soho Khloe Striped Sandal's.

They are extremely comfortable for such a high stiletto heel. The only thing that I would make you weary of is the front almond shaped toebox. Occasionally, some ladies, including myself, suffer from minor toe hangover, especially if you have wide feet. With the Khloe's, I found my pinky toe to be reaching slightly over the edge, but this can easily be fixed with some slip grips (check out Foot Petals) or by purchasing .5 size up.

These are definitely eye catching, so for only $79.95 at DSW.com, the Zigi Soho Khloe's are definitely worth the splurge. Now if only these came with a yacht....

Zigi Soho Tia Pump

I know I mentioned before that I was adding more pointy-toe shoes to my collection so when these Zigi Soho Tia Pumps appeared on DSW.com I knew I had to have them.

Can I just tell you how amazing the silhouette of these shoes are? I couldn't resist that and the color. They run true to size but I had to break them at first. If you wear a lot of platform heels, getting used to these might take a little bit of time but the style it adds to your wardrobe is definitely worth it.

Steve Madden & Brian Atwood Partnership

Oh be still my beating heart!

One of my favorite designers (probably favorite shoe designer) Steve Madden has acquired fellow shoemaker Brian Atwood from its previous owner - the Jones Group. Brian Atwood first signed with the Jones Group in 2010 for the launch of his contemporary line, B by Brian Atwood.

The new pieces will not be released until Spring 2015, so we have a little bit of time to kill as we wait. I wasn't sure if my Initial "let's have a party in our pumps" reaction was a normal one but I am ecstatic! It's like two shoe gods merging into -cue dramatic music- a bigger shoe god!!!!

I am predicting that this partnership will launch Steve Madden's brand into the luxury shoe line world and send Brian Atwood's crashing into the closets of value shoppers.

I'm so glad that it finally started to warm up here in New York. I've been missing my stiletto pumps and strappy sandals, so I decided to take my new Rynter pumps from JustFab out for a spin.

The color is gorgeous and I love the style. It's very sexy and the laser cut-outs add a little bit of edge and depth to the shoe. However, the shoe is not form fitting. As you can see in the picture, there are very large gaps left in the peep toe area and around my ankles. Definitely check these out if you have wider width feet and ankles.

The beautiful cobalt color is what drew me into this platform stiletto sandal and I'm so glad it did. If you have wide feet then I recommend going up half of a size.

Pair this sandal with a pair of skinny jeans and a basic tee and you're ready to go! It's perfect for the warmer weather.

Day to Night Chic

Whenever I'm planning my outfit for the day, I try to pair things together that would make an easy transition from day to night. Let's be honest...what girl has time to change for dinner and drinks right after working a long day at her 9 to 5?

Here, I managed to create a look that is young and playful while still being appropriate for the office. The best part is that at the end of the day, all I would need to do is take off the blazer, change into some new heels (I usually keep these in the backseat of my car) add a clutch and I'm heading to happy hour with the girls!

Paris Couture Week 2014: Chanel's Couture Bedazzled Sneakers

Karl Lagerfeld paired all of the looks from Chanel's Spring/Summer 2014 Couture fashion collection with matching sneakers. That's right...high fashion sneakers as replacements for high heels! I never thought I would see the day.

It took 30 hours to hand make each pair of sneakers that debuted at the Chanel couture show. They will retail for $3,000 euros per pair.

Foot Petals BEST Shoe Closet Contest

Surely that number is a lot higher for most of us and even though I have an immense love for my footwear, occasionally I do run across a pair that are not as comfortable or as wearable as I need them to be. I remember a few years ago, I found a gorgeous pair of Betsey Johnson wedges at DSW. Unfortunately for me, my foot kept sliding forward in them and if I went up a full size, they would be way too big for me. There was no way that I was leaving them in the store, so I settled on to the fact that I would be walking on eggshells when I wore them out. That is until I found out about Foot Petals.

Foot Petals is a company that offers insole cushions that are made from high performance urethane and poron which absorbs shock, repels moisture, bacteria and odor.

My favorite thing about them is that they add extra stability to high heels (and flats) and provides an extra layer of cushioning to the ball of my foot. Their products range from tip toes which are cushions for the ball of the foot, killer kushionz which are 3/4 insoles, amazing arches which are cushions for the arch, heavenly heels which are cushions for the back of the heel and so much more!

As if I needed another reason to love them, Foot Petals ran a contest on their Facebook page looking for a great shoe closet from one of their fans. In order to enter, fans had to post pictures of their shoe closet and from the pool of entries, 10 finalists would then be chosen to compete in a fan vote off of who had the best shoe closet. The prize was a $500 Amazon.com giftcard. I entered with my shoe room picture and never in a million years did I think I would be a finalists or even the winner!

So you can imagine when they announced me as their winner, I just about fell off of my bed, ran around my house, screamed about five times, and ran around some more.

Seriously, this is real! I received my giftcard in the mail a few weeks later! I still haven't picked out what to spend it on but I have one pair of boots in mind that I may splurge for (keep an eye out because I'll be updating this with more pictures when I do)!

Foot Petals really gives the tools to remind us that shoe love is indeed the truest love of all!

Sarah Jessica Parker’s SJP shoe line

Hark the shoe angels! News about Sarah Jessica Parker's own shoe line SJP has been floating around for months but now we have the final details from the collection.

The collection will launch exclusively at Nordstorms and prices will range anywhere from $185 to $425. When interviewed about the what took so long for the collection to drop, Sarah Jessica Parker said, "Everything needed to align, from quality to price point."

You can expect to see a range of classic shoe styles such as the Mary Jane pumps, T-strap heels, flats, kitten heels, and simply strappy sandals as part of the collection. As part of her signature to the collection, each shoe will come with a design detail that is unique to the brand (a stripe of ribbon up the heel or a small tab on the side of a slip-on shoe).

I'm sticking to my New Years resolution and expanding the style in my closet. If you've been reading my articles, then you know how I feel about any shoes that are less than 4 inches. They just do not exist in my closet. And please don't let me get started again on sneakers...

Forever 21 Launches Premium Leather Shoe Collection

Following in the direction of H&M and Gap, Forever 21 has now launched it's own premium leather shoe collection. 10 new trend-driven styles made from 100% genuine leather hit the site yesterday morning. Prices range from $49 to $79.

Linda Chang, Forever 21's GMM hopes that the new push in quality shoes will complement the styles of its current customers as well as attract the eyes of new shoe lovers throughout the country.

Some of them are a complete miss for me but there are a few shoes that do peek my interest. However, nothing is eye catching enough for me to rush to place an order.

What's Your Shoe Year's Resolution?

This year I'm making a date at the Christian Louboutin shop-in-shop at the Saks Fifth Avenue store in NYC. Ever since Saks launched the 10022-shoe floor, I've been dying to visit, but I've stayed away so my wallet wouldn't disown me, but this year I'm making it my mission to purchase my first pair of Loubies from there.

I know what you're thinking...how can you fashion blog, let alone shoe blog without having at least one pair of the coveted red bottoms? -Cue my constant heartbreak here-

G by GUESS Dea Over The Knee Boot

Guess can do no wrong in my book!

I kept seeing the G by GUESS Dea Over The Knee Boot and I stopped myself from purchasing them three times. Lately, I've been trying to rationalize my shoe purchases and I couldn't find a new reason to get another pair of black boots...but then I found this little black dress and that called for...new over the knee black boots!

Shoe details:

- Faux leather upper - 17 1/4 inch shaft height - 14 inch calf circumference - Inside partial zipper for easy foot/leg slide on - 4 3/4 heel - 1 inch covered platform - Studded buckle strap details with silver hardware - Runs true to size

For reference, I am 5'7 tall (almost 5'8) and these hit me right in the middle of my knee cap. So I wouldn't call them over then knee boots for anyone taller than 5'4 or 5'5.
