Last week I had a little bit of a Labels or Love retail therapy moment and to be honest...I had so much fun splurging like that! I stopped by Roosevelt Field Mall in Long Island to try and find some pieces from their recent fashion show (post coming on that soon). My first stop was Guess and I may or may not have done some damage. Their latest marketing of Sexy without question totally suckered me in and I spent all of my budget in there but my new wardrobe is thanking me! My shopping trip would not have been completed without checking out some of my favorite shoe stores which brought me to finding these new Steve Madden Lenona pumps.

I must say I never thought it would happen because I was so opposed to pointy toe shoes when I was younger. I can hear myself now "No, Mom! I don't want to wear those witchy shoes!" My my how times have changed because I literally stopped in my tracks when I saw these...tried them on...oh yeah they're being added to the collection.

They are definitely the perfect staple pump to add to your closet. Lenona features a 4 inch heel with no platform. The shoes have a serious shimmer to them which brings a very subtle sexy pop to any outfit.

Shoes of the day!

Ok I don't know what's going on with the weather in NY. Today's it's a high of 78 degrees and it's killing me because I've already made the switch of seasons in my closets and my shopping pattern. I'm ready for boot season!

The green pumps are Fairfield from the JustFab Luxe line. Beyond gorgeous. I can't wait to pair an outfit with these.

Time flies....

The last week of September was super busy! I finally finished celebrating my birthday (September babies wooo) and now I need to catch up on everything thing else that I've been neglecting. So stay tuned for tons of updates on my latest hauls on make up, jewelry and of course fashion!

Yesterday, I walked into my glam room and decided I wanted to style an outfit that was dedicated to my favorite colors for fall: burgundy, emerald and cobalt blue. I love these colors because they are so rich and can easily be paired with some of your favorite neutrals that you already have in your closet.

I kept this look very classic and light on the accessories because I wanted the colors to do all of the work so let's take a look!

From One Fashion Lover to Another...

Fall is happening and if your closet is anything like mines, it's in need of a major makeover. So let's cut to the chase shall we?

One of the biggest trends I saw during Fashion week was the bold hues that designers used to highlight the overall theme and look of their collection. One of my favorite colors that I'm now adding a lot of to my closet is Cobalt blue.

Cobalt blue is one of those bold, rich colors that complements every complexion and works to create a bold but yet classic and relaxed fall look. I think it's the perfect pop of color to wear so try adding a silky blouse, a pair of high heels or even a new handbag in your favorite shade of blue.

Here, I quickly paired a pair of leather pants and a jacket with a bright blue top and blue high heels. It's a quick and easy look to put together if it's for a night out with the girls or even a date night. Just remember if you're going to go for a bold look, try wearing a natural lipstick color and define your lips with a darker lipliner. Hey, if you're wearing it for date night throw on some lipgloss on and a smoky shadow and you're set for the night!

The End of an Era...

The end of summer is always bitter sweet for me. I'm going to miss rocking my summer maxi dresses and cute sparkly sandals but I'm ready to rock some boots! This past weekend in NY it wasn't too hot but it definitely wasn't fall weather, so I decided to rock a cute and casual look that will easily transition me into fall.

For the last picture I actually changed my lip color. I lined my lips with MAC Nightmoth lipliner, then used MAC sweet succulence.

Fall is Here!

When I took these pictures it was the perfect fall day in New York! It was in the mid 70's, the sun was shining and the breeze was amazing. Now it's a 89 degrees and I'm hiding out in my air conditioner. Even though it seems like summer is holding on for dear life, we all know that Fall is fast approaching so that means it's time to switch those wardrobes and start piling on the layers!

80's Baby!

When I think of being an 80's baby, I think of cartoons shows like Darkwing Duck, Talespin and Ducktales. Ah the memories! But when it comes to fashion, I can only go by what I've seen in some of my mom's pictures...the huge hair and big earrings. So I was inspired by that for this outfit.

Plus, I picked up a new pair of cowboys boots and had to show off the sparkle. Yes, items with a lot of bling are "my precious"!

Rampage Kosmo Bootie

If you're looking for a unique bootie in a great color then the Rampage Kosmo Bootie is definitely something you want to check out. At first I had my doubts that it made me look and feel a little like Peter Pan because of the color and the pointy toe...but I slept on it for a few days and saw some pictures of other girls in them and they're totally worth the splurge if you're looking for a new green boot!

Here's another transition into fall bootie. The Seychelles Can't Stand the Heat Bootie.

Honestly, I didn't think I would love these as much as I do but they're the perfect pair of black booties with a twist. They have a mix of a vintage military style and a thick chunky heel which make them great for all day wear.

Fergie Luna Boot

I know it seems like it was just yesterday that we were waiting for the snow to melt and for 80+ degree weather but It's time to transition into fall ladies which means it's time swap out your strappy sandals for some new boots/booties. Picking up the perfect pair of boots or booties is just one small change to your wardrobe that can last throughout the fall/winter season. So let's start on some new boot reviews...

Here is the Fergie Luna Boot that is available for $159 at DSW.

The Luna's are a great boot for the fall if you're looking to expand your wardrobe. It's a little pricey but you are definitely getting a lot for your buck. They're so comfortable you can pair them with a pair of jeans, skirts or even dresses! My favorite thing about these boots is the harness buckle details.

Style Spotlight: Floppy Hats

This week I decided to put the spotlight on one of my favorite summer accessories: floppy hats! Floppy hats are the perfect summer fashion staple. They're stylish, affordable, and functional. I love popping on a trendy colorful hat before running out of the door. It keeps me cool while I'm running around outside in the summer heat and if the humidity is unbearable, it is the perfect accessory to hide my frizzy hair.

By now I hope you know that I like to wear things with a bit more flare to them.
