What's Your Shoe Year's Resolution?

This year I'm making a date at the Christian Louboutin shop-in-shop at the Saks Fifth Avenue store in NYC. Ever since Saks launched the 10022-shoe floor, I've been dying to visit, but I've stayed away so my wallet wouldn't disown me, but this year I'm making it my mission to purchase my first pair of Loubies from there.

I know what you're thinking...how can you fashion blog, let alone shoe blog without having at least one pair of the coveted red bottoms? -Cue my constant heartbreak here-

So that's why I'm making it my shoe year's resolution to save up and add a beautiful pair of Louboutin's to my collection. Here's a peek at some of my favorites:

G by GUESS Dea Over The Knee Boot

Guess can do no wrong in my book!

I kept seeing the G by GUESS Dea Over The Knee Boot and I stopped myself from purchasing them three times. Lately, I've been trying to rationalize my shoe purchases and I couldn't find a new reason to get another pair of black boots...but then I found this little black dress and that called for...new over the knee black boots!

Shoe details:

- Faux leather upper - 17 1/4 inch shaft height - 14 inch calf circumference - Inside partial zipper for easy foot/leg slide on - 4 3/4 heel - 1 inch covered platform - Studded buckle strap details with silver hardware - Runs true to size

For reference, I am 5'7 tall (almost 5'8) and these hit me right in the middle of my knee cap. So I wouldn't call them over then knee boots for anyone taller than 5'4 or 5'5.

Air Jordan Sneakers

I'm messing around with some of my Christmas presents and my family got me a few white boxes and lamps for blogging.

Naturally, I'm trying to get everything ready and learn about the lighting and the right back drops for certain accessories and shoes and my brother comes across a new contest for Jordan sneakers. I own ZERO of those, so he grabbed a few of his and insisted that I take a picture of them with my new white box.

-Insert my salty face- Really? My first "official" shoe picture has to be of a sneaker?

So I have to ask? Do Jordan's really live up to the hype? Is investing in a pair something I should look into or should I just stick to the high heels?

I know it's still a bit early in the season (at least on the east coast) to be thinking about wearing sandals but I couldn't help myself when I spotted the Mojo Moxy Limelight Sandal!

I wanted a lipgloss that would add some glitz and glamour to my Matte lipsticks. I know it sounds like such a contradiction given the fact that matte lipsticks are supposed to have no shine or shimmer so that they can last for hours throughout the day but I'm always looking for fun and new combinations so work with me here.

Once applied, the Yves Saint Laurent Golden Gloss - Shimmering Lip Gloss - Color 46 White Quartz Gold gives your lips a mirrored effect full of sparkles. Available in an acrylic/plastic tube - it is non-sticky, has no taste and lasts for hours.

It is a little pricey on the lip gloss end of the make-up spectrum ($30 a tube), however, you do get what you pay for.

The gold sparkles provides a slight plumping effect and adds dimension to the lips so if you're looking for a lip gloss to give you that perfect holiday pout make sure you grab this one!

I will say it again...when the shoe fits, buy it in every color!

A few weeks ago I showed you all the Steve Madden Lenona's in Black. I wore them out a few times and the compliments just would not stop, so naturally I had to order them in the champagne color. I mean what shoe lover doesn't love being asked "Where'd you get those shoes" every time she walks down the street?

When they arrived, I couldn't help but stare at how prominent the sparkle was in the lighter color.

Luichiny Kapti Vate Over The Knee Boots

A few weeks ago, I posted a picture showing you all how I picked up these beautiful Luichiny Kapti Vate Over The Knee Boot's for free.

That price is one of the reasons why I love shopping at DSW so much. I get so much more bang for my buck and the quality is amazing. Since then, I've worn the Kapti's out and wanted to give you my review.

I was hoping for them to hit me right around my thigh area, but being so tall it's hard to find a good pair of thigh high boots. JustFab Leon Boot

It took me a little bit of time to jump on the moto boot trend. For a girl who wears high heels 99.9999999999% of the time, finding a flat boot that I would rock everyday was almost impossible. But then I saw my sister in law rocking a pair of moto boots with these cute blue jeans, white top, and cropped leather jacket and I just about snatched hers off of her feet. Too bad she's a size smaller than me, so I had to go on the hunt for my own pair.

I started with my search on my normal websites: DSW, Steve Madden, Heels.com, ShoeDazzle and JustFab. I really wanted a pair that would pop and I didn't want to spend over $50 on them because I wasn't sure if I would be able to pull off the look.

I stumbled upon the Leon Boot on Justfab and the studded details sold me.

New York Wedding Salon Bridal Show

If you're a bride to be or anyone remotely interested in bridal fashion then stay tuned! This post will be filled with information and pictures for you!

I had the opportunity to attend the New York Wedding Salon Bridal Show that was held at the Metropolitan Pavilion. The Wedding Salon featured exhibits on everything, and I mean everything any bride, groom or member of the bridal party needs in preparation for the big day. There were tons of cake designers, florists, DJs, videographers, photographers, desert tastings, live entertainment... Seriously I could go on listing all of the different vendors there but we need to get to the fun stuff.

When you first walked in, you were greeted by the sounds of 45 Riots and the living table by the Screaming Queens Entertainment.

Seriously, how amazing does the living table look? I love how they incorporated the Vegas showgirl theme with a wedding twist. There were cute little mints, brochures, and promotional magnets on the table which showed the functionality of the strolling table. This would be a great addition for any wedding couple looking to add that extra something to their list of costumed performers or live entertainment.

Part of the reason why I think I loved the living table so much is probably because of 45 Riots. The musicians and singer definitely killed it with their variation of live R&B and Pop hits. Most of the time, I don't even look twice at some live performances at these shows because they can be way too loud but 45 Riots provided a cool, energetic vibe to the event.

As I ventured deeper into the Pavilion, that's when I started seeing all of the different vendors. I'll let the pictures do that the talking for this part...

I have this dream of going into Sak's or Neiman's and being able to enjoy this major shopping spree. Unfortunately, real life tends to creep in and I remember I have good ol' Sallie Mae knocking on my door every month!

Until I'm able to live my labels or love dream, I've been designing tons of outfits on Polyvore! It has become such a great outlet for me to online window shop and create beautiful outfits without spending any money.

National Shoe Lover Day Celebration

October 26th was National Shoe Lover Day at DSW Designer Shoe Warehouse and they sure celebrated around the country in a big way! Shoppers around the country had a chance to win free shoes for a year in every store. All you had to do was make a purchase (either online or in-store) to receive a free peel off card for the chance to win.

DSW also offered the first 100 customers that shopped in store and made a purchase their choice of a National Shoe Lover Day t-shirt or exclusive shade of Anise nail polish. After the first 100 customers, they gave out "I am a shoe lover" tote with purchase. But the fun didn't stop there....

They also decided to run another promotion for another chance to win free shoes for a year! All you had to do was make a video showing how you were celebrating National Shoe Lover Day and you were entered to win. 50 runners up would win a $50 giftcard as well.

I was all IN this contest after reading all of that. My local DSW In Lawrence NY opens at 10:00 am on Saturday so you know I was camped out early at 9:00 waiting for the doors to open. Do not play with this girl, her shoes, and a chance to win some prizes.

Since it was so early, I decided to keep my outfit simple. I throw on black jeans, my long sleeve shoe lover t-shirt, my shoe necklace and of course my Zigi boots. Yes my shoes needed to make a statement today.

I arrived with my shoe loving Mother and Aunt and let them loose in the store. I on the other hand went straight to the register to buy a pack of foot gels so I could secure my exclusive polish and t-shirt. I was not missing those items.

Once I made my purchase, I walked around the store and ended up speaking to some of the associates about the day and what they had in store for them. I noticed they had brand new tablets strapped around their necks that they could use to sign up new members and (even better) search online for an item you want that's not in stock in the store. Can you say heaven sent? It gets so tiring having to find the perfect shoe and then walk all the up to the front of the store and wait on a long line just to find out if the shoe is available online or another store?

I ended up picking up the exclusive Steven by Steve Madden Revolvir Pump in store.

After that, I came home and started to work on my video of how I spent the day celebrating. Now I can get away with taking these shoe, outfit of the day, and accessory pictures by myself but a video is a different story. So it took me a few hours to figure out what I wanted to do and how to do it with decent lighting. Seriously...don't try this at home folks.

I think it took me about 6 videos to get this one and I gave up! The song is Labels & Love from Sex & the City 1 and I had to add it to channel my inner Carrie Bradshaw...(dreams) one day soon.

Yes before you all ask I think I do have everything they may have given away over the past few years...and I'm not ashamed!

Happy (Fashionable) Halloween

Last year for Halloween I was locked away in a hotel room because Hurricane Sandy had completely devastated my town. It was the most traumatizing event of my life - my youngest niece was born during the hurricane, my two year old niece was stuck with myself, my brother and my parents in the storm with no heat or electricity.

So this year I was determined to go trick-or-treating with them both just to celebrate. Neither rain, sleet, snow (or this cold) was going to stop me from dressing up with them. So I put on my Little Bo Peep costume, my new Steve Madden DEJAVU pumps (yes I wear 6 inch heels daily lol) and we hit the streets!

Of course the shoes were the highlight of the costume for me. I picked them up just this week and even though they look intimidating they are ridiculously comfortable! I mean for me to be able to walk around the cobble streets in 6 inch heels (2 inch platforms) they had to be!
